My 20 year old daughter ordered a fiberglass body kit and it was delivered to her in August 2017. She saw the truck arrive and watched the delivery man take it out of the truck.

At that point, she asked the driver about why the box was open. She looked and pointed out scratches on the items inside the box. She helped him carry it to her apartment door and then said "thanks, I've got it from here". He said "no" and followed her inside, friendly-like so she tried not to freak out.

Once inside with no one else present, he told her not to write anything on the form. Instead to take it up with the company she purchased it from. Since he was 300 pounds (ish) and 6 feet tall, and she is 5'2", she did as she was told. Conway Freight's owner told me he didn't recognize the drivers name while another employee did recognize the name.

They refused to note on the forms after the fact that the customer claimed damage. Car-ID refused to pay to ship the parts back and the manufacturer says if we ship them back and they are damaged, we get nothing. So a college student is out $500. I suppose it could have been worse.

Who knows what might have happened to a young woman alone in her apartment with a very large man had she disagreed.

(We tried to resolve this for 4 months before giving up. Don't try calling- Conwar - their phone mostly rings and rings.)
